CONSTRUCTION NOTES
The sweater is knitted from the bottom up to the top. It is knitted using a circular needle to the underarm and then worked back and forth in rows. It can also be knitted in the round in pattern above the underarms, but then steeks need to be introduced and then the armhole is cut open later. The shoulder is shaped using short rows and the front neckline shaping is formed. Then, the work is set aside and the Back is completed. The Back does not have neckline shaping. The shoulders are then joined together. The stitches for the Sleeves are picked up around the armholes and the Sleeves are knitted in stockinette to the ribbed cuff. Change to double-pointed needles to work smaller circumferences when required. The collar at the neck is worked in ribbing. And, finally, the sweater is carefully steamed with the wrong side facing.
