Gestaltet für die Isager Archives 2 Kollektion 2025

Über das Design
Virginia Jacket is my re-imagination of Marianne Isager’s classic design Ringe and a part of the Isager Archives Collection 2025. The original design is characterized as a shorter and more fitted jacket and longer sleeves with the beautiful mosaic pattern. I kept the original construction and pattern but gave Virginia a more over-sized and cape-like style. Virginia is worked with tweed, which naturally has a lot of depth to the colors, emphasizing the beautiful contrast between the stripes. Virginia Jacket is my interpretation of a meeting between Marianne’s fantastic design expression and my own design interpretation.

Konstruktion
The jacket starts with casting stitches on at the bottom of the back piece. From here, the piece is worked straight up, where new stitches are cast on for both sleeves, which are worked together with the back. Later, neck stitches are bound off and each shoulder/front piece/sleeve is worked individually. At the end, the jacket is sewn together on the sides and sleeves, after washing and blocking.

Die erste Isager Archives-Kollektion wurde von Åse Lund Jensens Entwürfen aus den 60er- und 70er-Jahren inspiriert. Die Inspirationsquelle für die Isager Archives 2-Kollektion sind Marianne Isagers Entwürfe aus den 80er- und 90er-Jahren.
15 der talentiertesten Strickdesignerin Dänemarks haben ein Wochenende mit uns in Tversted verbracht und hatten dabei Zugang zu Mariannes umfangreicher Musterkollektion.
Die Designerinnen haben ein oder mehrere Muster als Inspiration für ihre jeweiligen Beiträge zur Kollektion Isager Archives 2 verwendet.
