Dear knitting friends,
We are back again and with us also Sabine, who would like to tell you one last time about her holiday.
As you all know, the anticipation of the annual big trip in the motorhome was great. Finally relax, explore new places and let the soul dangle. But as life sometimes plays out, the long-awaited holiday unfortunately ran a little differently than planned.
Christian, Sabine’s husband, unfortunately fell ill, and so the trio had to cancel the holiday after 14 days. Fortunately, it was nothing too serious, but the holiday plans completely confused the whole thing.
Despite these unforeseen events, the trip to Holland had completely knocked Sabine off the stool.
All those of you who missed our last blog posts and don’t know what we’re talking about can use these HIER and HIER nachlesen.
Many of her friends and acquaintances reacted skeptical when she told about her spontaneous travel destination. “What are you doing in Holland?” she often heard. But this small country turned out to be a real jewel. The people were incredibly friendly, the towns full of charm and the beaches just stunning. It seemed as if hardly anyone knew these hidden beauties. So Holland is a real insider tip.

The original plan to travel further to Denmark was cancelled due to illness. Instead, she spent the rest of her break in her cozy mountain domicile in Tyrol.
Nevertheless, the holiday brought new energy and many creative ideas. Currently, Sabine is only bubbling in front of new knitting ideas, which she wants to share with you.
So that it is neither boring for us nor for you, it now goes on with much woolly inspiration.
One of our latest discoveries is the incredibly cool tweed wool of Lang Yarns, perfectly suitable for knitting Norwegians. The yarn is thicker than the usual tweed yarns and sheep wool that we knew before, and has the great advantage that it does not scratch as much as the famous LOPI wool.
We’ve been looking for a tweed yarn in this strength for a long time, and finally we’ve found it. The Donegal Tweed from Lang Yarns It also has a fascinating story that we want to tell you briefly.
The wool is spun and dyed by the traditional method in the Donegal region, Ireland. The yarn is 100% merino wool, which is mulesing-free, and also contains some spinning oil. As a result, a remarkable transformation unfolds after knitting and washing: the yarn gains volume and receives a luxurious softness – Mega or?
A matching knitting magazine has also appeared for this wool, which is full of inspiring designs. In addition, in the next few weeks we will have some cool Norwegian knitting kits in our online shop.
So you can start directly with your projects and let off creative steam:
And because it's so beautiful, we'll stick to it a little bit more. Lang Yarns. All our clients love them. Cashmere Light – last year, hundreds of caps were made of this quality, and even now in the summer, they are still industriously knitted.
