A wool summer full of surprises

We start today’s article with one: “It’s incredible how fast time goes by!”

This summer, wool & marvel has been around since 15 years! A milestone that we can be really proud of together with you. From the very beginning, our vision was clear: an extraordinary range of wool that inspires and inspires again and again.

Anyone who has known us for a long time knows: We are constantly looking for current knitting designs, to schönsten and the most innovative yarns and the most exciting Designer:innen.

For many years, Sabine has been investing her lifeblood, her time and, initially, her savings, in order to promote wool trends to Tyrol and Tyrol. To get Austria – yarns and ideas that do not exist on every corner. For the first four years, Sabine worked twice. She was able to reduce her full-time job to a 26-hour part-time job (she still sincerely thanks her employer for this opportunity today), and the rest of the time she stood in her beloved shop and slowly built it up. Every euro earned was directly reinvested – without paying himself a cent salary.

Ihr Mann hat auch dazu beigetragen, er ist keiner der kleckert, sondern macht. Das Wolle + Staune Haus ist, auf seinem Mist, ähmmm… seiner Kreativität und Power zu verdanken. Und Sabine hat es dann gerne gefüllt, und füllt es immer wieder neu.

Mit aktuell rund 20 verschiedenen Garnherstellern im Sortiment (und sicher über 100 unterschiedliche Wollsorten, diese jeweils in den unterschiedlichsten Farben… da kommen ein paar Knäuel zusammen) bieten wir eine Vielfalt, die neue Kund:innen jedes Mal zum Staunen bringt. Genau diese einzigartige Auswahl, in Kombination mit persönlicher Beratung und Sabines Leidenschaft, ist es, was uns so besonders macht – und was uns bereits so lange hat bestehen lassen.

But with the first surprise we start right away. There is great news for Gepard Lovers:inners: We have replenished again and added beautiful new summer yarns to the range and at this point we are simply overwhelmed by your support and your knitting zeal.

The noble Hor Silke yarn was not even in the wool shelf and already bought away, we have already ordered the third time supply for you.

Also from among them Cottonwaves The first colors have almost arrived, and all other colors have already been ordered. Although the complete delivery has not yet arrived at us, the demand already exceeds all expectations - we have therefore also ordered a third time here!

If you have not yet Hor Silke– und Cottonwaves-Fever packed, this is guaranteed to change as soon as we show you what all the wonderful things can be conjured up from these yarns. Of course, we have already put together suitable knitting kits for you, so you can get started right away!

And then there's the Eco Cashmere von Gecheet: Although the summer is rather out of place with this yarn, all those who have followed us for a long time know that Sabine has a talent for skilfully ignoring the summer. She even eagerly put together numerous knitting kits for the Eco Cashmere wool.

Whether for the Sophie Hood (this Blood Orange!!!) or the other knitting kits – we will soon have the appropriate colors in the store. And if more of you would like to displace the summer here, we of course like to order all desired colors very fast!

At the moment it is not easy for Sabine to create the planned knitting kits for our new summer yarns. Her models are constantly running over her path, which are not exactly summery. And while writing this article, we realized that it would hardly deserve the title “Summer Knit 2025” – but that’s not so bad. After all, we would like to introduce you to our personal knitting highlights here. And if one of Sabine's highlights in mid-April is still the Scarlet Sweater If it is, then it also belongs in this contribution!

We have ordered the original color again, as it is usually out of print for weeks as soon as the instructions of PetiteKnit goes online.

But Sabine has still got a heart and also selected one or the other really summer highlight – and not without reason. In particular, Maren tea is so delightful that we would prefer to knit it in all colors and wear nothing else until the end of our days!

Somehow this is a very special contribution here today: For the first time we have told you that this year we have our 15th anniversary feiern. In this course, we would also like to give you a small view of what awaits you in the course of this year.

Let's go at the end of May: Then a new hand-dyeing company moves in with us, which so far no one in the whole of Austria has in the range. The first order has already been placed, and in the coming weeks will be diligently colored for us. By the way, Sabine has already fallen head over heels in love during test knitting!

In addition, we have a wonderful collection for the autumn-winter 2025/26 of LangYarns and Lana Grossa ausgewählt. Particularly exciting is the special collection of Lana Grossa, which we immediately ordered completely. Means: We will have the original wool from each model in the store. When the time comes, we will of course introduce you to everything exactly.

Und weil für uns Stricker:innen die Herbst-/Winterzeit ja bekanntlich schon im Sommer beginnt, starten wir im August mit jeder Menge Neuheiten für die kalte Jahreszeit – pünktlich zu unserem Jubiläum hauen wir dann so richtig auf die Pauke!
