What Your Woolbag Reveals About You

It is said that one should not look into foreign pockets. But with wool bags... well, we like to make an exception. Because they are not a secret diary, but rather small, portable storybooks. Anyone who wears his wool in it shows not only the current project, but also a piece of himself. Sometimes quite neat, sometimes wonderfully chaotic, sometimes so crowded that one wonders if there is not a climate of its own in there. And that’s why we love it so much: wool bags reveal more than you think.

For example, there are the minimalists: inside. In their pocket there is really only the bare necessities: a ball, a needle, perhaps another tape measure. Everything seems so calm and clear, almost meditative. Every scam is planned, nothing left to chance.

The pragmatists are quite different: inside. They are not strictly order-loving, but simply practical. In her pocket is exactly what you need right now – no more, but also no less. No superfluous ballast, no wool corpses. And when you ask for something, they immediately know where it is. Everything in its place, without any drama.

And then the chaotic ones. Oh, they always give us a lot of joy. Your bags are an adventure country. There you find shopping lists next to gauges, wool residues get tangled with sugar paper, and somewhere suddenly a half-finished sock appears, which had long since been forgotten. You never know what to pull out, but it certainly won’t be boring.

A category of its own is those who simply have too much of everything. Why only one ball when you can also pack five? Three different knitting instructions, needles in all thicknesses and mesh markers in colors that you did not even know existed. Half of it is not needed in the end, but the feeling of being prepared for all eventualities is simply important.

And of course there are also the dreamers: inside. Their pockets are like little diaries. Started projects that may never be finished, colors that seem like longing, and stitches that tell stories of ideas. Will all of this ever be completed? Zweitrangig. The main thing is that the dreams are allowed to travel.

High on the “young wild ones” who are friendly and simply wonderful. You are our highlight and we find that, you may say aloud.

Precisely because of these “boys (polite) savages” we thought we’d show you knitting projects that just fit them perfectly: hood scarves. But, of course, a hood scarf is good for everyone, whether twenty, forty or seventy. Casual enough to throw it over every day, convenient because it’s the same scarf and hood in one, and yet with that certain something that’s kind of just in a good mood.

They exist in all kinds of variants of Sandnes Garn, from PetiteKnit And also from the NORgardknitters. From big to small, simple or a bit playful, so that there is really something for every taste.
