Konstruktion
The sweater is worked from top to bottom. First, the upper part of the back is made from the oblique shoulders and about 9 cm downwards. After that, stitches are picked up along the rear shoulders and the upper part of the front is made with oblique shoulders and later also the neck cutout. Once the upper portions of the front and back are completed, stitches for the sleeve top are picked up on both sides and the upper portion is knitted in rounds on a circular knitting needle with raglan increments. At the arm cutouts, the pass is then divided and the body and sleeves are completed separately. Lastly, stitches for a little fret around the neckline are picked up and knitted.
Größenguide
The Rosie Sweater is designed with a range of movement (positive ease) of about 20-32 cm. In general, it fits best in smaller sizes with a large range of movement and a gradually decreasing range of movement in larger sizes. The Rosie Sweater is shown here with a range of movement (positive ease) of about 30 cm. The sweater is therefore shown on a model that has a 30 cm smaller breast circumference than the sweater.
The length is measured centrally on the rear side excluding the neck lining.
You calculate your personal breast circumference by measuring yourself around the breast (or around the widest part of your torso). Then look at the measurements at the beginning of the manual (the measurements refer to the finished sweater). The positive ease is the difference between your personal breast circumference and the breast circumference of the finished sweater. For example, if your breast circumference is 94 cm, you get at Gr. M/L has a range of motion of 32 cm (126 cm – 94 cm = 32 cm). For Gr. S gives you a range of movement of 20 cm (114 cm – 94 cm = 20 cm).

Knitting needles & gauge
Recommended needles
circular knitting needles 3, 3,5 and 4 mm (40 and 80 cm),
evtl. Circular knitting needle 4,5 mm (40 and 80 cm) for the sample
double-pointed needles 3.5 mm (if not knitted with the Magic Loop method).
Gauge
21 stitches x about 26 rows smooth right, single-colored = 10 x 10 cm on needle 4 mm.
21 stitches x approximately 25 rows in the sample = 10 x 10 cm on needle 4-4,5 mm.
Note: The entire sweater is knitted in two threads, i.e. 1 thread/quality. Wash the gauge before you measure it. Make sure that the gauge is the same width (21 M to 10 cm), regardless of whether you are knitting in a single color or in a pattern. Knit the pattern thicker on half a needle size if it contracts more than the monochrome part. If you are unsure, I recommend working the pattern on a thicker needle.
