We lean far out the window and claim: Everyone who reads this blog knows how exciting knitting is. But have you ever thought that knitting in the team might be twice as exciting?
Imagine sitting in front of a guide and you have no idea how to decipher this one spot. Instead of wandering around forever, you can simply exchange ideas with your knitting friends and help each other. Often someone has the decisive tip ready, which makes the knitting life easier.
Besides, who doesn't know? You have a bad day, knit a few rows and suddenly realize that you have missed the count. Ärgerlich! But when you knit together, it's half as wild. There is laughter, mistakes are corrected, and it goes on with a good mood.
And the best part? Knitting together means sharing the small and big successes. The feeling that when your project takes shape and you can proudly show your progress is simply unbeatable.
So why work alone? Find knitting friends, share your ideas and experience how much more fun it is to knit together on your masterpieces.
We found a real knitting friend in Karin. Karin is not only one of our favorite customers, but also a real inspiration – and not only because she is so wonderfully organized. She lives on Lake Achensee, is originally from Germany, and her passion for knitting is simply contagious.
Karin leaves nothing to chance. While most of us are already happy when the first gauge fits halfway, it always goes all the way. Farbkombinationen? Different yarn alternatives? Karin does several rehearsals until she knows what she really wants in terms of wool. And the best of it? We all benefit from it now – including you when you come to visit us in the store.
The last time Karin gave us her started Busan Sweater left here - a gauge of the somewhat larger kind, we would say. The sweater is knitted from top to bottom, and so now a beautiful collar with shoulder fits is on our shelf. And as if that weren’t great enough: The pattern is also equipped with mesh markers and a mesh holder rope from PetiteKnit. Perfect to show in the store how practical this accessory is and how easy it is to organize knitting projects.
The cool side effect? The Busan Sweater It is right with our customers! In recent weeks, many have ventured into the project.
Sabine has also been keeping an eye on him for a long time and is now determined to use him in color. Blood Orange To be knitted. The color is just great for her and sometimes it can really crash. Originally she had a delicate pink in her head, but we decided unanimously – blood orange is the better choice!
Speaking of new projects, we told you two weeks ago that there will be fresh knitting kits with Isager Yarns – and here they are:
Anne Ventzel I ALUNA Sweater
It is knitted from Isager Bouclé (100 % Alpaka) together with the Isager Silk Mohair. The station wagon? A dream of softness and cuddle factor.
NORgardknitters I SOFT NORDIC JUMPER
This is where the Isager Soft Fine is used – a thin, fluffy yarn made of organic cotton as a carrier thread and alpaca for the fluff. Combined with mohair for the perfect color contrast.
Otherloops I Merle Loop Sweater
Casual as always: Isager Bouclé meets Alpaca 2 here in really nice color combinations.
NORgardknitters I My Winter Boho
Our personal favorite! Since we saw the first pictures on Instagram, we could hardly wait. Knitting is done with Isager Bouclé and Soft Fine – the perfect mixture of structure and fluff.
Exciting things continue, because we have added a new wool company to our range in the last two weeks: Laines du Nord.
Funnily enough, Sabine came across the yarns on her last Scandinavian trip – in the wool shops there, of course. First of all, she thought it was a Scandinavian brand. But no, surprise: these are Italians!
We were so thrilled that we spontaneously decided to try out two of her gradient yarns. The color palette is small but fine – perfect to see if you like it as much as we do.
Laines du Nord I POEMA
This yarn consists of 100% mulesing-free wool and convinces with its gentle color gradients, which create a beautiful dégradé effect. The different nuances make it perfect for autumn and winter accessories – and the best: often a single ball is enough to knit or crochet a complete shawl or scarf. It is therefore ideal for anyone who wants to conjure a real statement piece with minimal effort.
Laines du Nord I POEMA CASHMERE
If you want to do something really nice, Poema Cashmere Just the right thing to do. A noble mix of cashmere and premium merino wool, so soft and light that you do not want to put it out of your hand. The gentle pastel colors ensure elegant color gradients, and the best: with two balls you conjure up a scarf or sweater. Just perfect for everyone who wants to indulge in a bit of luxury while knitting!
In case of: Laines du Nord Sabine even found sock wool as a “sock knit refuser” that she finds really cool:
Finally, a great news: We just got a large delivery of Re:designed erhalten! In the next few days we bring the webshop up to date, so you can grab your favorites.
The ‘Project 10” we already have available – here you can go shopping right away.
And the best part: A few small surprises are also included. What exactly? We will tell you that soon.
Until then, we will go back on a journey of discovery in knitting kits. As soon as an exciting design catches our eye on Instagram, we’re on. We follow the ideas, and as soon as the instructions are published, we will immediately put together the appropriate kits. So you can look forward to a lot of inspiring projects in the next few weeks.
Stay excited – and until in two weeks, when it is again: Ran on the needles, ready & go!
