Description
fOTOS, design and text © Anne Ventzel
The ALUNA SWEATER is a soft sweater with striking pattern on the pass. First, stitches are struck with the Italian stitch stop and the twine is made in the entangled rib pattern. The multicolored pass is then worked. In order for the back to be spacious and fit well, shortened rows are made before dividing the pass into body and sleeves.
Anne has knitted her Aluna sweater with short sleeves, but in the manual there is also a description of how the sweater with long sleeves can be made.
If you want to reduce the difficulty level, the Italian mesh stop can be replaced by the usual stop. But then make sure that it is not too tight. Similarly, the Italian chain can be replaced by the ordinary chain.

Gauge
17 stitches x 25 rows smooth right on needle 4.5 mm = 10 x 10 cm
17 stitches x 20 rows on needle 5 mm = 10 x 10 cm
Recommended needles
4 mm double-pointed needles
4 mm, 4,5 mm and 5 mm circular knitting needle (40, 60/100 cm)
Possibly a straight 4 mm needle for the Italian mesh stop
NOTE: I personally go up 0.5-1 mm with the needle size in multi-color knitting, so that I achieve the same stitch sample as in single-color knitting. However, this can vary greatly from person to person, which is why I recommend it to you all the more here, before the actual knitting first a stitch sample to finish.
