There are decisions that you make with full conviction. For example, "I knit a sweater." Three seconds later, you sit on the floor surrounded by five balls, a tape measure, three printed instructions (all supposedly “super beginner”) and a feeling somewhere between thirst for action and mild panic.
Incidentally, everyday life works similarly. You'll think, Sounds good, I'll try it. And before you know it, you are in the middle of it – in a job, in a move, in a relationship or in a sleeve construction, where no one knows exactly where up and down is.
Sometimes only one thing helps: to separate. Not out of failure, but out of wisdom. Yes, you have already invested time (and nerves). And no, it's not a shame. Much worse would be to knit the whole thing through defiantly, only then never to put it on, because it looks more like an emergency solution than a favorite piece.
Other times it is said: go through. If you know, There's something else. Even if it just feels tougher than waiting for an answer from any office. Sometimes patience helps, and sometimes a glass of wine may help. Or two. Depending on how long the row is.
And then there are them – those almost magical projects that you start without much plan. A little reckless and frankly quite unreasonable. And all of a sudden it fits. Not perfect, but just right.
Knitting is not just a craft, it is a bit like a dress rehearsal for life. It shows us that you don't have to know everything beforehand. Mistakes are okay. And that sometimes you just have to start to realize where it's going.
For all those who don’t want the hundredth pair of socks this summer. For all those who dare to knit a bit outside the box (or better: wool basket). Who start a project that may sound too complicated or who simply do not want to risk anything. For all those who know that when knitting, you not only develop stitches, but also yourself a bit.
For all of you, we have put together a fine selection of summer knitting kits:
Kolibri by Johanna I Jean Tee – Sanfte Konfrontationstherapie in Maschenform
Wellen-Lochmuster? For some, this sounds more like panic than sweaters. But that’s exactly why Jean Tee is perfect: an airy summer top without any drama.
The cut? Locker. The yarn? Sommerleicht. The feeling of knitting? First respect, then pride.
Ideal for all those who want to dare something – and realize: such a little pattern does not hurt at all. Quite the opposite.
Kolibri by Johanna I Jean Cardigan – For those who are not intimidated
The airy Jean Cardigan with pattern? It may sound like risk. But in truth is the perfect opportunity to leave your own knitting comfort zone without ending in wool chaos.
A project for all those who say: “I now dare to do something bigger.” And then not only have a Cardigan, but also a little more self-confidence in the closet.
Trine Bertelsen I Hydrangeas Top – If you just want to play it safe

PetiteKnit I Ivy Top – For everyone who knows what they’re doing. Oder so tun, als ob.
The Ivy Top is not a garment, it is character in mesh shape. Simple, clear, sovereign – a top that doesn’t say much, but radiates a lot.
For those who have an overview. Or pretend to be very convincing. And for all those who say, “I’ve got this under control,” even if they’re just after the stitch.

Le Knit I Tulipan Tee – If you just want to let it go well
The Tulipan Tee Do not scream, it smiles quietly. With a fine leaf pattern that acts exactly where it should. The rest remains simple and soft. A piece that you knit when you’re not looking for a challenge, but something that feels good.
For those who say, I don’t need a big project. Only one that brings joy every time I get it out.
Anne Ventzel I Mimi Sweater – For those who want to be seen
The Mimi Sweater It is not a quiet sweater. It's loud and colorful. A knitting project for phases of life in which you do not want to hide, but go out. In which you show yourself – exactly as you are: courageous, full of energy and certainly not overlooked.
For all those who say: “It’s my turn now.”
Knitting is as versatile as life itself. You need a project that just works. Someone you trust a little bit more. And sometimes just a new favorite part.
That is why we have knitting kits for (almost) every situation in life – and hopefully one that suits you right now. If not, then look HIER past: There you will find more new and beautiful ideas.
We wish you success in your current project – and look forward to hearing from you again in two weeks. Perhaps with a new wisdom. Maybe with a little story. Certainly again with a lot of wool.
