MIMI SWEATER is a comfortable sweater with characteristic block strips. The wide block strips are separated by elegant dot lines, which are also worked on the shoulders, arm cutouts and neck cutout.
The dot lines are knitted in the weaving pattern; a simple technique to produce a multi-colored pattern, but with only one color at a time.
MIMI SWEATER is worked from top to bottom and does not have to be sewn together.
First, stitches for the shoulders are struck and knitted in rows down to the arm cutouts. The front and back are connected to the body and further knitted in rounds.
Around the arm cutouts, new stitches are added for the sleeves, which are finished with edges in the entangled rib pattern.
Both on the front and back, as well as on the sleeves, shortened rows are made, which gives the sweater a great cut.

It is very different how much freedom of movement you want to achieve on your knitted piece. Take measure of your favorite sweaters. So the decision regarding the appropriate size may be easier for you.
The sleeve length depends on how big you are and how much freedom of movement you decide on your sweater. In general, the sleeve length should be shorter the more freedom of movement you have chosen. This also applies to the sweaters I wear in the pictures in this guide.
Anne Ventzel has chosen the following ranges of movement and sleeve lengths on my MIMI SWEATER:
Version 1: 44 cm range of motion and sleeve length 3.
Version 2: 33 cm range of motion and sleeve length 3.
Version 3: 55 cm range of motion and sleeve length 1.

18 stitches × 24 rows smooth right on needle 5 mm = 10 × 10 cm
The yarn I used for the MIMI Sweater dilates after washing.
Before washing, the gauge was 19 M and after washing it was at the indicated 18 M.
