Timeless Designs: The Diversity of Handmade Fashion

In a world marked by ever-changing fashion trends and fast mass production, today we would like to highlight the beauty of knitting and talk to you about why quality and craftsmanship are much more important than short-lived trends.

Knitting is a form of art: yes, you can all call yourself artists! It requires motivation, creativity and patience to make a beautiful piece of clothing out of a simple string of yarn. Each mesh is hand-made, each pattern is carefully selected, and there is love in every little detail.

The result is not just a piece of clothing, but a work of art that tells your very own story.

An important facet of knitting is the quality of materials. When knitting, you can decide for yourself which yarns you use and can choose high-quality materials that not only look beautiful but are also comfortable to wear, last long and are made fairly at all levels.

As you work on your projects, you can express your creativity and express your personal style. You are not limited to wearing what is trendy right now, but can create unique pieces that are just right for you and emphasize your individuality.

And finally, but not least, homemade garments are timeless. They are not dependent on short-lived fashion trends, but remain relevant and appealing for years to come.

This is exactly what the new Isager Archive collection shows, inspired by the designs of Åse Lund Jensen from the 60s and 70s. In the last two weeks, more designs of the collection have been published, which we would like to present to you today in the words of the designers.

PetiteKnit I Esther Jacket

– Mette Wendelboe Okkels, Petiteknit

Aegyoknit I Gerda Sweater & Skirt

– Karoline Skovgaard, Aegyoknit

Otherloops I Johanne Loop Sweater

A nuanced knit sweater designed in the 1960s and 1970s by Åse Lund Jensen, the founder of the company that later became Isager. The interpretation is based on the original pattern rapport and the change of nuances is emphasized by the fact that the colors run from top to bottom over the sweater and extend down over the pattern rapport.

– Maja Kløvdal, Other Loops

That’s not all we have in store for you in terms of timeless designs, as we’re thrilled to announce that the brand new Sandnes Garn collection has finally arrived. We have of course created all knitting kits for you, you can find them HERE.

However, we would like to introduce our three favorites in detail:

From Monday, the new summer collection of Sandnes Garn will finally be available and one thing you can believe us: We are just as looking forward to it as you are.

Since we have already been contacted by some of you, here is the info from us: Sandnes Garn has announced that the instructions have been available from the dealers for some time. Unfortunately, there were again delays in deliveries, at least in Austria and Germany.

In terms of Sandnes Garn we are always up to date.

With that in mind, until two weeks from now, when we will again present you the latest knitting ideas and then the rest of the Isager collection.
