In our first blog directly at Christmas we would like to take you back into the contemplative world of knitting. In front of the sparkling sea of lights of the fir tree, accompanied by tempting cookie fragrance, we noticed that knitting creates a particularly cozy atmosphere during the Christmas holidays.

We have been thinking about these festive days to present you our most beautiful new knitting inspirations and to give you such small gifts.

Recently we came across a fascinating label – “NORgardknitters”. This insider tip immediately wowed us, and we’ve provided knitting kits for you to knit your own NORgardknitters sweaters, ponchos and more.

Ein absolutes Highlight der letzten zwei Wochen ist der „BERLIN Scarf“ von Paula-m. Dieser Schal erobert gerade die Strickwelt im Sturm und scheint das neue Must-have für StrickerInnen zu sein.

Ein weiterer Schal, auf den uns eine unserer Lieblingskundinnen aufmerksam gemacht hat, ist der „Fading Loop Scarf“ von Otherloops. Mit Isager Tweed und Mohair doppelfädig gestrickt, präsentiert er ein faszinierendes Farbenspiel und ist definitiv ein Lieblingsstück.

Of course, cute hoods should not be missing, and currently we are particularly enthusiastic about the models of Paula-m. They are not only in trend, but also offer a huge color selection and are also knitted in a flash-fast manner.

Ganz überraschend ist die brandneue „Poppy“ von „Sandnes Garn“ aufgetaucht – eine zauberhafte Wolle mit Alpaka, Wolle und bunten Sprenkeln. Die Resonanz war überwältigend, und viele Knäuel haben bereits ihre neuen Besitzerinnen gefunden. Es gibt sogar ein passendes Strickmagazin dazu.

But let’s get to the highlight of this Christmas blog article. The new Isager collection “A Knitting Life – out into the world”.

This unique collection accompanies Marianne Isager on her fascinating journeys through Latin America, Africa, Greenland and Nepal. Honestly, we are completely enthusiastic about every single piece of this collection. The sweaters are simply phenomenal – far from boredom or old-fashioned. In fact, the designs are currently so popular that even the young wild knitters are really out of the woods.

The only catch: All knitting instructions in this collection are unfortunately only available in English, which often acts as a deterrent for our some knitters. But we can tell you that it is not as difficult as it seems and you can find your way around with English instructions relatively quickly.

Before we come to the end of this article, we would like to inform you that in the next 10 days many of our suppliers are in the well-deserved Christmas holidays or carry out inventory work.
