Mini Alpacca is a pleasantly soft and fine alpaca yarn, which is about three times warmer than ordinary wool. Mini Alpacca is the yarn with the best insulating properties that we have in the range. The fiber is hollow on the inside. She is fluffy and breathes, so she feels warm when it’s cold and cool when it’s hot. Alpaka does not contain lanolin.
Sandnes Garn Alpaka is of the quality Superfine. Superfine stands for a fineness of the fiber between 25-26 microns (micrometers). It is one of the softest alpaca qualities used for hand knitting yarns.
Material
100% merino wool (The yarn is superwash treated so that it can withstand frequent washing in the machine). Our suppliers guarantee that our wool does not come from sheep that have been exposed to mulesing.

For machine washing, we recommend washing all pieces of wool separately in the wool washing program in order to treat them as gently as possible. Gently spin and dry the garment flat, preferably lying on a towel. Never wash hand knitted parts in a laundry net/wash bag. This produces friction, which can lead to the part matting.
