Jensen Yarn – Mit dieser Wolle begann alles für Marianne Isager, sie wird in Dänemark gesponnen und gefärbt.
The wool quality of Isager, which has been on the market since the 1960s. Especially suitable for knitting cardigans and men's clothing, as the shape holds very well. A gripy wool that is also perfectly suitable for outdoor fashion.
Jensen Yarn is a 3-threaded yarn firmly and evenly spun, which is well suited for structural knitting, as it makes the texture work well. The yarn is durable and blooms just as beautifully as Tvinni. We recommend this yarn especially for indoor and outdoor clothing.
Material:
100% wool
1 strand has 50 grams with 125 lfm
Needle size: 3,5-4,0mm
Gauges:
Jensen Yarn: needle No 3,00mm = 22 stitches x 28 rows
Jensen Yarn + Alpaca 1: Needle No 3.50 = 19 stitches x 24 rows
Jensen Yarn + Alpaca 2: Needle No 4,00mm = 17 stitches x 24 rows
Jensen Yarn + Silk Mohair: needle No 5,00mm = 16 stitches x 20 rows
Please note: Isager provides us with the Jensen Yarn in large 100 gram strands consisting of 2x 50 grams. To make the price more attractive, we offer the 50 grams for purchase. So if you order an odd number (e.g. 150 or 350 grams), then you get, so to speak, half a strand without banderole (but it is always the same game). The price refers to a 50 gram strand.
The white wool is native to New Zealand and the brown and gray wool used for the S colors is native to Gotland sheep in Europe. The supplier in New Zealand is a brand partner of the Wool Integrity program, which ensures that the principles of this program such as animal welfare, environmental sustainability and traceability are adhered to. Jensen yarn is chemically dyed, but based on the color palette of natural dyes, Åse Lund Jensen has chosen her yarn. The colors 0, 0s, 2s and 3s are uncolored and unbleached. All other colors are Oekotex 100 colors from Europe, but since the spinning mill in Skive is not certified, the product cannot carry the Oekotex 100 label.
