The Ava Jacket is part of the Isager “Archives 2” collection.

The Avis knitting pattern is a small genius. The simple, rhythmic, script-like structure looks both unmistakable and subtle – graphically strict and at the same time playful.
I have always been fascinated by how great an impact can be achieved by simple means. Therefore, I omitted more than added and let the contrast thread play the main role in my interpretation.

Konstruktion

The Ava jacket is an oversized jacket with pattern knit detail inspired by Marianne Isager’s design Avis (= newspaper), originally published in the 1980’s. The fit shows clear references to the characteristic silhouettes of the century.
The shoulders are constructed with a rearwardly offset shoulder seam, which ensures a well-fitting fit. Carefully placed increases and decreases along the neckline and sleeves, along with the line in contrast color that runs across the back and sleeves, form a striking and extraordinary expression. The sleeves are cut extra wide at the top and become narrower towards the wrist. The Ava jacket is knitted from top to bottom.

Größenguide
Ava Jacket has an oversized fit. Calculate a range of movement of about 35-40 cm.
The sizes XS(S) M(L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) correspond to the European standard sizes and fit a breast circumference of approximately 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) cm.

Example: Your breast circumference is 88 cm + 35-40 cm = 123-128 cm. Therefore, you should knit size S with a circumference of 125 cm. The model wears size S.
