With the new quality LIMA Lamana expands its yarn collection with an exclusive yarn made of 50% South American merino wool (mulesing-free), 25% silk and 25% baby alpaca. LIMA is an incredibly fine and delicate allure for the whole year. The nicely twisted, smooth thread has a gentle fluff and, thanks to the excellent elasticity, knits almost by itself.

More information from and about Lamana
Merino wool
The merino wool comes from the merino sheep, a fine wool breed that provides particularly high-quality wool. Outstanding properties of the fine merino wool are pronounced uniformity and high elasticity. In addition, their light and soft texture offers scratch-free wearing comfort. Due to the strong crimping of the Merinowoll fibers, air inclusions are created, which ensure a very effective temperature regulation and a very good respiratory activity.
From Lamana, about Lamana:
LAMANA is a young wool and fashion label and was founded in 2010 in the Leineweberstadt Bielefeld. We combine selected yarns with fashionable design.
Inspired by the love of knitting, wool and fashion, we initially specialized in exclusive Peruvian yarns. In the course of the further development of our exquisite collection, we are now also spinning in traditional Italian companies.
In yarn production, we attach the highest importance to the origin, growing conditions and the further processing and coloring of the fibres used. We ensure our standards of fair production, sustainability and consistent LAMANA quality through regular visits to the carefully selected partners on site.
We have our yarns produced exclusively by owner-managed traditional companies in Italy and Peru. We ourselves have close family ties to Peru and regularly visit our selected production partners, with whom we have long-standing friendly relations.
