Isager SPINNI is a one-threaded wool. In ancient times, the mere threads were spun by hand in Iceland, so fine and thin that a fully knitted scarf could be pulled through a finger ring. The very fine spinning thread is ideal for combining with other types of wool. Knitted with 1 thread, the SPINNI is ideal for shawls and scarves with hole patterns. It is dimensionally stable and retains a fine structure, so that the knitted part does not “collapse”.
Material
100% wool The yarn is spun and dyed in Denmark.
Run length 300 m / 50 g
Stricknadel: Nr. 2,5 – 3,5 (einfädig)
The spini should not be knitted as single thread in rounds, see below.
Please note: Isager provides us with the Spinni in large 100 gram strands consisting of 2x 50 grams. To make the price more attractive for you, we offer the 50 grams for purchase. So you have the advantage that you can order exactly the amount you really need and do not have any other 50 grams of strands. So if you order an odd number (e.g. 150 or 350 grams), then you get half a strand (i.e. 50 grams) without banderole (but it is always the same game on it you can rely). The price refers to a 50 gram strand.
Gauge 10 × 10 cm
Spinni single-thread: needle No 3, 26 stitches x 30 rows
Kombinationsmöglichkeiten:
Spinni + Alpaca 1: 3 mm Nadel = 24 M / 28 R
Spinni + Alpaca 2: 3,5 mm Nadel = 20 M / 26 R
Spinni + Silk Mohair: 4 mm Nadel = 18 M / 24 R
Die Garnkombinationen mit Alpaca 1 ist unser Favorit. Damit haben wir das Tokyo Tuch gestrickt, mit Nadel Nr. 4 – ist toll geworden.
When knitting, it should always be considered which result is desired, whether a loose knitted part should be created or whether it should be a fixed structure. For example, a scarf can be knitted much looser than a sweater.
Since Spinni is a one-threaded yarn, spun only in one direction, it is not as good as a single thread for smooth right knitting in rounds. The knitted part would warp slightly.
When knitting with patterns or together with another thread, this is not a problem. In pattern knitting with several colors, Spinni is used very often and comes to light due to the special structure of the thread.
