Description

The Wishbone sweater is a real eye-catcher and I was literally stopped by people on the street and asked where the sweater is from! The sweater is worked from top to bottom in a continuous braid pattern with an overlapped shoulder. The elegant texture combined with the high collar makes it a contemporary and easy-to-wear piece. The fit is slightly shortened, but can be changed to a longer length if necessary by knitting additional rounds for the body.

Notiz:
The pattern contains optional instructions for shaping the collar with German short rows. This is something you either do or don’t want to do, both versions work for the design (see photos for reference, gray melange is made with German short rows, while the cream-colored variant is without).

125 (125) 150 (175) 200 g Sandnes Tynn Silk Mohair (57% Kidmohair, 15% Schurwolle und 28% Seide – 25 gr Knäuel = ca 212 Meter.)

Alternatively, you can use the following mohair: Isager Silk Mohair, Wool + Staune FRL-Zart

Gauge
22 stitches x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm with needle no. 5 mm each with a thread Double Sunday together with mohair, after washing and tensioning.

Recommended needles
3 mm circular knitting needle 40-60 cm for the neck and 80-100 cm for the body and a set of double-pointed needles for the sleeves (if you do not work with magic loop technique).
5 mm circular knitting needle 40-60 cm for the arms and 800-100 cm for the body
