The SISU is a soft and at the same time durable hand-operated yarn reinforced with nylon. It is because it is so soft is very good for children's clothing, of course also suitable for adult parts and accessories. But also an ideal sock yarn.
Currently, we find many Norwegian designs in the knitting instructions of Sandnes Garn with beautiful color patterns, because this wool is excellently suited for this. Similarly, structural patterns make this wool particularly effective.
Garments made of SISU have a long service life. They also preserve their beauty over several generations.
The yarn is superwash treated so that it can withstand frequent washing in the machine.

Merino wool comes from Uruguay and Australia. Sandnes Garn emphasizes that they expressly reject practices such as mulesing (as we do at Wolle + Staune). The wool suppliers from Australia confirm that they supply mulesing-free wool. But Sandne’s yarn goes one step further and calls for the introduction of third-party certification requirements for mulesing-free wool.
Sandnes Garn also imports significant quantities of very fine wool from Uruguay, where mulesing does not occur in the first place.
