Merino wool is not only excellently thermally insulating, but it also conducts moisture away from the body through the structure of its fibers and keeps the heat even when it is moist. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water before it feels wet.

100% merino wool (The yarn is superwash treated so that it can withstand frequent washing in the machine). Our suppliers guarantee that our wool does not come from sheep that have been exposed to mulesing.

Due to the absorbent properties of merino wool in combination with the superwash treatment, we recommend that the garment be washed separately in the wool program for the gentlest possible treatment. For the same reason, it is important to gently fling the part in order to then dry it flat, preferably lying on a towel. Never wash hand knitted parts in a laundry net/wash bag. This produces friction, which can lead to the part matting.
