The Hedley Genser is knitted top down (from top to bottom), which is always awesome because you can adjust the lengths super, only knit smooth stitches in the round and have no seams.

You start with the mesh pickup in the neck, from there the back part is knitted in rows to under the armpits and set aside. Stitches for the front parts are then picked up from the stop edge of the back part and knitted until the cutout is formed. The two individual front parts are joined to form one and this is then knitted in rows to under the armpits. At this point, the front and back parts are closed to the round and the body is knitted in rounds up to the fret. For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the armholes and knitted in rounds down to the frets. Finally, stitches are picked up from the neck edge and the double half-bundle is knitted.
