The Babyull Lanett is not only suitable for babies, but for the whole family.
Merino wool is not only excellently insulating, but it also conducts moisture away from the body through the structure of its fibers, keeping the heat even when it is moist. Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in water before it feels wet.
The Babyull Lanett is superwash treated, so it can withstand frequent washing in the machine.
Material
100% merino wool (from Australia, but mulesing-free)
ca. 175 Meter 50 Gramm
Maschenprobe: 27-31 M = 10 CM mit Nadel Nr. 2,5 – 3
Care: For machine washing, we recommend washing all pieces of wool separately in the wool washing program to treat them as gently as possible. Since merino wool absorbs moisture well, it is important to briefly fling hand-knitted parts before allowing them to dry flat, preferably on a towel. Never wash hand knitted parts in a laundry net/wash bag. This produces friction, which can lead to the part matting.
Merino wool comes from Uruguay and Australia. Sandnes Garn emphasizes that they expressly reject practices such as mulesing (as we do at Wolle + Staune). The wool suppliers from Australia confirm that they supply mulesing-free wool. But Sandne’s yarn goes one step further and calls for the introduction of third-party certification requirements for mulesing-free wool.
Sandnes Garn also imports significant quantities of very fine wool from Uruguay, where mulesing does not occur in the first place.
