The Zipper Sweater Light – Man is knitted from top to bottom in one piece. The neck cutout is made in the rib pattern, placed double and knitted on the inside. The pass is made with raglan increases, first in rows on a circular knitting needle to create a slot for the zipper, then in rounds on a circular knitting needle. The body and sleeves are worked in rounds. The rear covering of the zipper is knitted from set-aside stitches at the end, so that the zipper also looks beautiful from the inside after sewing. The zipper itself is finally sewn between two layers of knit – by hand or with the machine.
Difficulty Level: ★ ★ ★ ★ (4 out of 5)
Knit first a stitch sample to determine the needle size correct for you.
Größenguide
The Zipper Sweater Light – You should have a range of movement (positive ease) of about 20 cm in relation to your chest circumference. The sizes XS(S) M(L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) match a breast circumference on the body of 86-91 (91-96) 96-101 (101-107) 107-113 (113-119) 119-124 (124-132) cm. The dimensions of the finished sweater can be found on the front of this guide. Take measurement before you start knitting to determine the size that fits best. For example, if the breast circumference (or the widest part of the body) is 103 cm, you should choose size L. A sweater in Gr. L has a breast circumference of 127 cm and in this case would have a range of movement (positive ease) of 24 cm.
