Stockholm Sweater

The Stockholm Sweater is knitted from top to bottom smoothly to the right with double thread silk/mohair. First, the upper part of the back is knitted, whereupon the stitches are picked up along the stop edge on the back for the shoulders. The shoulders are knitted separately with shortened rows so that a gusset is formed. The front and back are collected under the arm and further knitted in rounds on a circular knitting needle. Along the arm cutouts, the stitches for the sleeves are picked up, which are then knitted in rounds with a set of double-pointed needles or the Magic Loop method. Finally, the stitches are picked up along the neckline, where a ribbon edge is knitted, which is folded to the left side and stitched there. The Stockholmsweater does not have to be stitched, except for the folded neckline.

Sizes Guide

The Stockholm Sweater should have a range of movement (positive ease) of about 15 cm in relation to your chest circumference. The cut is oversize. The sizes XS(S) M(L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL match a chest circumference on the body of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The dimensions of the finished sweater are on the front. Take measurements of yourself before you begin the actual knitting to determine the size that suits you best. If your chest circumference (or the widest part of your body) is 90 cm, you should choose size S. A sweater in S has a chest circumference of 105 cm and in this case would have a range of movement (positive ease) of 15 cm.

The model depicted bears gr. XS and has a chest circumference of 82 cm at 1.64 m height.
