The Sonja Sweater is worked smoothly to the right from top to bottom. First, the upper part of the rear side takes place, at the stop edge of which stitches for the shoulders are then received. The shoulders are formed by shortened rows. The front and rear sides are closed under the arm cutouts to form a round and the fuselage is knitted in rounds on the circular knitting needle. Lastly, stitches are picked up around the neckline and a ribbon is made that is knitted on the inside at the end. The Sonja Sweater does not have to be sewn together.

First, make a gauge to determine the needle size that suits you.

Größenguide

The Sonja Sweater should have a range of movement (positive ease) of about 30 cm for the smaller sizes and a gradually smaller range of movement for the larger sizes. The sizes XXS(XS)S(M)L(XL)2XL (3XL)4XL (5XL) match a chest circumference on the body of 75-80 (80-85)85-90 (90-95)95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The dimensions of the finished sweater can be found on the title page. Note: These dimensions apply only if the gauge is observed. Take measurements of yourself first before you start the actual knitting to determine the size that suits you best. If your chest circumference (or the widest part of your body) is 90 cm, you should choose size S. A sweater in Gr. S has a breast circumference of 120 cm and in this case would have a range of movement (positive ease) of 30 cm.
