The Scarlet Cardigan is worked from top to bottom with lines of lifting stitches on the back, as well as along the sleeve insides. First, the upper part of the back is done in rows, while the shoulder slopes are formed by shortened rows. Thereafter, an I-cord rim is produced along the rear stop edge and stitches for the shoulders are picked up thereon, which are knitted separately in rows on a circular knitting needle, while in addition increases for the V-neck take place. The two fronts and the rear are connected to form the body, which is knitted in rows on a circular knitting needle. The sleeves are knitted from received stitches around the arm cutouts. Finally, stitches for the panels are picked up along the leading edges, which are worked in a double knitting process.

The Scarlet Cardigan should have a freedom of movement ()positive ease) of about 25 cm for the smaller sizes and a gradually smaller range of movement for the larger sizes. The sizes XXS(XS)S(M)L(XL)2XL (3XL)4XL (5XL) match a chest circumference on the body of 75-80 (80-85)85-90 (90-95)95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. Take measurements of yourself before you begin the actual knitting to determine the size that suits you best. If your chest circumference (or the widest part of your body) is 90 cm, you should choose size S. A sweater in Gr.
