Saga Sweater

The saga sweater is worked in the structure pattern from top to bottom. First, the upper part of the back is done with increases. After that, the shoulders are made of picked up stitches at the top of the back. The work is then connected to the round, with stitches being included for the sleeves. The remaining passes take place in rounds with raglan increases. The body and sleeves are knitted in rounds on a circular knitting needle. Finally, a ribbed tuft is formed on the neck cutout.

The saga sweater should have a freedom of movement ()positive ease) of about 20 cm for the smaller sizes and a gradually smaller range of movement for the larger sizes. The sizes XXS(XS)S(M)L(XL)2XL (3XL)4XL (5XL) match a chest circumference on the body of 75-80 (80-85)85-90 (90-95)95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. The dimensions of the finished sweater can be found on the title page. Take measurements of yourself before you begin the actual knitting to determine the size that suits you best. If your chest circumference (or the widest part of your body) is 90 cm, you should choose size S. A sweater in size S has a breast circumference of 110 cm and in the chosen example the range of movement is ()positive ease) 20 cm.
