The Moby Sweater is worked from top to bottom in the structure and plait pattern. First is the back, which is knitted with shortened rows to shape the shoulder slopes. Thereafter, stitches for the shoulders are picked up, which are then collected at the front to the front. Front and back are placed under the arm cutouts on a needle, forming the torso that is knitted straight down. The sleeves are made in rounds on a set of double-pointed needles or with the Magic Loop method. The collar is placed double at the end and knitted on the inside.
Knit first a stitch sample to determine the needle size that is correct for you – note that it can vary from yarn to yarn. Wash your gauge before measurement, as the structural pattern in the laundry can grow.
Difficulty Level: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (5 out of 5)
Größenguide
The Moby Sweater should have a range of movement (positive ease) of 15-20 cm in relation to your chest circumference. The sizes XS(S) M(L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL match a chest circumference on the body of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. The dimensions of the finished sweater can be found on the front of the instructions. Take measurements of yourself before you begin the actual knitting to determine the size that suits you best. If your chest circumference (or the widest part of your body) is 90 cm, you should choose size S. A sweater in Gr. S has a chest circumference of 106 cm and in this case would have a range of movement (positive ease) of 16 cm.
