LANTA Bag

The casual bag in the hole pattern is the perfect companion for summer time. Airy light, ideal as a beach bag or for shopping.

The bag is knitted from bottom to top in the hole pattern. First, the stitches are struck with the ‘magic mesh stop’ and work is done with the ‘magic loop method’ in rounds, first smoothly on the right, then in the hole pattern. For the handles, the work is later divided into four parts and knitted into rows with decreases. The beams are worked in double knitting technology and finally connected to one another in a stitch.

Techniques used: magic mesh stop, magic loop method, knitting 2 stitches out of a mesh, hole pattern, left and right inclined increments, mesh stitch (“Kitchen stitch”).

200 g of “Hør Organic” by Isager (100 % linen; LL 178 m/ 50 g), double-threaded, here in Fb. “Camel”.

The gauge does not necessarily have to fit exactly here and serves more as a guide.

21 M x 24 R (which corresponds to about 7 “holes” in width and 6 “holes” in height) = about 10 x 10 cm (washed)

Needles
Rundstricknadel 4,0 mm (80 cm lang),
double-pointed needles 4.0 mm (optional) for the handles or for sewing the handles
