Lima socks

The LIMA socks are simple socks in rib pattern with a particularly beautiful heel construction. The perfect everyday socks, whether sporty to sneakers, casual to boots or as cozy bed socks.

The socks are worked with a set of double-pointed needles from top to bottom. First, the collar and the shaft are knitted in the rib pattern. Subsequently, the heel is worked, first heel wall and gusset with the aid of increases, then the heel rounding with shortened rows and finally the heel cap with decreases. It follows the foot in the rib pattern (upperfoot) and smooth right (sole). The sock tip is worked as a classic band tip.

Techniques used: cross striking, rib patterns, increases and decreases with left and right inclination, shortened rows (German Short Rows).

Size
S = Größe 32/33 – 34/35
M = Größe 36/37 – 38/39
L = Größe 40/41 – 42/43

Gauge
Smooth right with Nd 2.5 mm: 30 M x 42 R = 10 x 10 cm (washed and lying measured)
Select a different needle size if necessary to adapt the gauges.

Needles
double-pointed needles 2,5 mm (15 cm long), or
Circular knitting needle 2,5 mm (60 or 80 cm long) for the
‚Magic Loop Methode‘.
