The headband is knitted in rows using a circular knitting needle or two needles of a set of double-pointed needles of 6.0 mm. For the perfect plait, plaiting is carried out step by step with the help of double envelopes. Thus, the braid pattern becomes nicely flat and does not “crush” together as is often the case when a larger number of stitches are processed into a braid using the usual method.
Before the chaining, it is best to put the headband around the head again to test whether it fits and, if necessary, knit a few rows more or less.

Size
Einheitsgröße (Kopfumfang 55 – 58 cm), kann aber individuell angepasst werden.

Gauge
17 stitches x 24 rows smooth right = 10 x 10 cm

100 g Lang Yarns ‚Merino 70‘ (98 % Schurwolle, 2 % Elastan – Polyester; LL 70 m/ 50 g), hier in Taupe (Fb 22) und Hellgrau (Fb 03)

Needles
Rundstricknadel 6,0 mm (60 – 80 cm) oder
double-pointed needles 6.0 mm (20 cm)
