Instructions for simple everyday socks that always fit, whether sporty to sneakers or casual to boots.
The socks are worked as toe-up socks from the bottom up, i.e. from the tip to the fret. After the “magic mesh stop”, first the tip of the strip is knitted with the help of lateral increases, then the foot in the 3/1 rib pattern (upper foot) and smooth right (sole). The heel is worked as an oblique seam heel with Shadow Wraps. Finally, the shank and the small collars are knitted in the respective rib pattern and all stitches are elastically chained.
The BASIC Socks-Light are knitted with classic 4-thread sock yarn and 2.5 mm needles. Whom the Light-Variante It is too long, it can also be a Medium-Variante knitted with 6-thread sock yarn and 3.0 mm needles.
Techniques used: Magic mesh beat-up, knitting 2 stitches out of a single mesh (kfb, kbf), rows shortened with shadow wraps, elastic chaining with envelopes or the “tubular bind off” method
