fOTOS, design and knitting instructions © Odd Row (Lene Rix)

Odd Row (Lene Rix) writes about the design:
My contribution to the Isager Archives collection consists of a shirt blouse with a collar and knit at the pass and a simple skirt made of pure knit. The inspiration was provided by two patterns from the archives of the 60s and 70s – a waist-waisted blouse with button bar and a loom-knit waistcoat, both typical of the time.
Together, Tove Shirt & Rock form an elegant set – or the shirt blouse can be combined with your favorite pants and the skirt with a classic shirt. Both parts are knitted from spinning, which was also used in the two original instructions – now together with a thread made of silk mohair.
Tove shirt is knitted from top to bottom. First, the collar is knitted in the rib pattern and then the pass is knitted in plain weave with one or more contrast colors. The torso and sleeves are held in smooth knit and inserts are knitted in to form the waist. The sleeves are provided with ribbons knitted in the weaving pattern.

Exciting background information about the Isager Archive collection, by Helga Isager:
