The Penny Tote Bag is knitted from bottom to top in the large moss stitch. First, the bottom of the carrier bag is created. After that, stitches are picked up around the edge of the bottom to begin knitting the bag in the round. As soon as the desired length is reached, the stitches are divided in order to knit the handles individually in back and forth rows. When both handles are finished, they are connected with the three-needle technique. Finally, an inner lining is sewn into the inner side of the carrier bag.

Cheetah yarn
250 g Teddy Dear 50 g = 75 m zusammen gehalten mit 150 g Cotton Baby Lino 50 g = 178 m oder  alternativ Mandarin Petite 50 Gramm 180 Meter – durchgängig zweifädig verstrickt.

Needed knitting needles and accessories
Circular knitting needles:
4 mm, 60 and 80 or 100 cm.

mesh marker, residual yarn or reel, fabric for the liner (approximately 50 x 80 cm).

Gauge
After washing and tensioning:
16 M×23 rows=10×10 cm in the large moss stitch with needle size 4 mm.

In any case, please knit a knit sample. Make sure your gauge matches the one above. If you can’t reach the necessary stitch sample with the suggested needles, adjust your needle size to get the correct stitch sample.
