The Woodlark sweater has a fishbone pattern of right and left stitches on the body and sleeves. The pattern forms a good contrast to the smooth upper part of the sweater. The sweater is knitted from top to bottom and the pattern forms an edge in itself, which makes for a beautiful finish, but also makes it particularly easy to adjust the length of the body and sleeves.
Konstruktion
The sweater is worked from top to bottom. First, the upper part of the back is made from the shoulder slopes to below the arm cutouts. After that, the upper part of the front is made with shoulder bevels and neck cutout. The shoulders are formed with shortened rows. After the upper parts of the front and rear are completed, both parts are closed on a circular knitting needle to the round and worked downwards. Stitches for the sleeves are picked up around the arm cutouts, which are knitted down on a set of double-pointed needles. The sleeves of the light sweater are knitted without weight loss, but if you don’t want to have such wide sleeves, you can knit weight loss just like the blue sweater (see photos on www.leknit.com). Lastly, stitches for the neck lining around the neck neckline are included. At the end, the ribbon is folded over onto the inside and knitted together there.
Größenwahl
The Woodlark Sweater is designed with a range of movement (positive ease) of 25-35 cm. Here he has shown a range of movement of 35 cm for an oversize fit. When choosing your size, you take measure of your chest circumference (or the widest part of your upper body). Then first look at the mass in the pattern (this is the finished mass of the sweater). The positive ease is the difference between your personal measure and the measure of the sweater. For example, if your chest circumference is 90 cm, you have 35 cm room for movement at size S/M. (125 cm – 90 cm = 35 cm). *The length was measured centrally on the back excl. the neck lining.
