A small scarf of soft yarn can be used by most people. The Vita Scarf is worked from top to top, which allows the scarf to be knitted as large as you want. Or as long as the yarn lasts. The Vita Scarf can be made from different types of yarn – here I show you 4 different yarns and sizes.

Dimensions of shawl
A: width (after washing) about 140 cm, height centrally about 44 cm.
B: width (after washing) about 75 cm, height centrally about 23 cm.
C: width (after washing) about 104 cm, height centrally about 34 cm.

Material and quantities

The designer knitted the shawl in various yarn qualities. We have created here the various knitting kits in the original yarns.

Variante A: Sandnes Garn Mini Alpakka (100% Alpakka, 50 g = 150 m) together with Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair (57% Mohair, 28% Seide, 15% Wolle, 25 g = 212 m)
Variant B: Lang Cashmere Premium (100% Kashmir, 25 g = 115 m).
Variante C: Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair (57% Mohair, 28% Seide, 15% Wolle, 25 g = 212 m) together with Sandnes Garn Alpakka Følgetråd (100% Alpakka, 50 g = 400 m).

yarn consumption
Variant A: Mini Alpacca in Fb. 3553: 100 g, Tynn Silk Mohair in Fb. 3553: 75 g (50 g may be sufficient if the scarf is knitted shorter about 1.5-2 sample repetitions)
Variante B: Cashmere Premium, camel 0039: 50 g
Variante C: Tynn Silk Mohair Fb. 2511: 25 g, Alpakka Følgetråd Fb. 2321: 50 g

Recommended needles
Variante A: Rundstricknadel 5,5 mm (80 cm).
Variante B: Rundstricknadel 4 mm (60-80 cm).
Variante C: Rundstricknadel 4 mm (80 cm).

Gauge
Variant A: 1 sample = 9 cm in width on needle 5.5 mm with 2 threads Tynn Silk Mohair and 1 thread Mini Alpacca. After washing and stretching slightly in width: 1 pattern = 10 cm in width on needle 5.5 mm
Variant B: 1 sample = 6,5 cm in width on needle 4 mm. After washing and stretching slightly in width: 1 sample = 7.5 cm in width on needle 4 mm.
Variant C: 1 sample = 7.5 cm i in width on needle 4 mm. After washing and stretching slightly in width: 1 pattern = 8 cm in width on needle 4 mm.
