Konstruktion
The Rosie Yoke Sweater junior is worked from top to bottom (neck trim was knitted last). After the ribbed on the neck cutout, shortened rows are made (here: German Short Rows, GSR), so that the neck cutout becomes a little deeper in front than back. When working on the shortened rows, knitting is carried out smoothly on the right in rows, i.e. re in forward rows, li in back rows. Apart from these rows, the entire sweater is made in rounds. The circular pass is formed by increases. Both the pattern and the increases are shown in the diagram.
Größenguide
Sizes (2) 4 (6) 8 (10) 12 years correspond to a height of approximately (92) 104 (116) 128 (140) 152 cm and a breast circumference of approximately (54) 57 (61) 65 (71) 77 cm. Choose a size that best fits the child’s breast circumference. The length of the body and sleeves can be excellently adjusted during knitting, as the sweater is worked from top to bottom. The Rosie Yoke Sweater junior is designed with a range of movement (positive ease) of 16-21 cm. Pictured here, the sweater has a range of movement of about 17 cm. The breast circumference is calculated by measuring the child around the breast (or the widest part of the torso).
Then look at the measurements at the beginning of the manual (the measurements refer to the finished sweater). Positive ease is the difference between the personal breast circumference and the breast circumference of the finished sweater. If the breast circumference of the child is 57 cm, for example, you get a range of movement of 18 cm (75 cm – 57 cm = 18 cm) at Gr. 4.
The length is measured centrally on the rear side excluding the neck lining.

Knitting needles & gauge
Recommended needles
Rundstricknadel 3 mm (40 cm). Circular knitting needle 3.5 and 4 mm (40 and 60-80 cm).
double-pointed needles 3.5 and 4 mm (if not knitted with the Magic Loop method).
Gauge
21 stitches x approximately 28 rows smooth right, two-thread on needle 4 mm = 10 x 10 cm
Note: The entire sweater is knitted in two threads, i.e. 1 thread/quality. Wash the gauge before you measure it. Make sure that the gauge is the same width (21 M to 10 cm), regardless of whether you are knitting in a single color or in a pattern. Knit the pattern thicker on half a needle size if it contracts more than the monochrome part. If you are unsure, I recommend working the pattern on a thicker needle.
