The model Plain Yoke Tee 19 is a beginner-friendly top with round passes.
If you are an absolute beginner, you can optionally omit the shortened rows in the neck. Follow the pattern of the beginner version, which is knitted exclusively in rounds. (Relevant videos for instructions can be found on the designer's page)

Construction, detailed version (as in the picture)
The Plain Yoke Tee 19 is knitted from top to bottom with an elevation in the neck, which is made with shortened rows (GSR, german short rows). During the shortened rows, knitting is done smoothly on the right (i.e. knitting on the right side, knitting on the left side) in back and forth rows. Apart from the GSR, the sweater is knitted exclusively smoothly on the right in rounds. The round pass is formed with increases.

Construction, beginner version
The Plain Yoke Tee 19 is knitted from top to bottom. Everything is knitted smoothly on the right in rounds, i.e. only right stitches. The circular pass is formed with increases. The only difference to the detailed version is that the neck front and back are the same.

Größenguide
Plain Yoke Tee 19 is designed with a range of movement (positive ease) of 4-9 cm. The top is shown with a range of movement of about 4 cm.
Take measurement from your chest circumference (or the widest part of your upper body) and choose the size based on it (the finished measurements of the top are indicated on the front). The positive ease is the difference between the finished knit piece and your measurements.
For example, if your breast circumference is 94 cm, you get a Gr. M has a margin of movement of 9 cm (103 cm – 94 cm = 9 cm).

Recommended needles
Rundstricknadel 3 mm (40 cm).
Circular knitting needle 3.5 and 4 mm (30-40 and 80 cm).
double-pointed needles 3.5 mm. If you knit with the Magic Loop method, the double-pointed needles is eliminated.

Gauge
19 stitches x about 32 rows smooth right = 10 x 10 cm on needle 4 mm.
Note that cotton yarns typically run in after washing, but stretch slightly in use.
