Harriet Sweater is generously cut and the clever construction is a combination of armball and raglan, which allows all patterns to be knitted in rounds from the outward row. Harriet Sweater is relatively long, but since it is knitted from top to bottom, the length can be easily adjusted if you want it shorter. Relevant videos for the instructions can be found at the bottom of the page.
Konstruktion
The sweater is worked from top to bottom. First, the upper part of the back is made from the oblique shoulders and about 9 cm downwards. After that, stitches are picked up along the rear shoulders and the upper part of the front is made with oblique shoulders and later also the neck cutout. Once the upper portions of the front and back are completed, stitches for the sleeve top are picked up on both sides and the upper portion is knitted in rounds on a circular knitting needle with raglan increments. At the arm cutouts, the pass is then divided and the body and sleeves are completed separately. Lastly, stitches for a little fret around the neckline are picked up and knitted.

The Harriet Sweater is designed with a range of movement (positive ease) of about 25-40 cm. In general, it fits best in smaller sizes with a large range of movement and a gradually decreasing range of movement in larger sizes. The brown Harriet Sweater is shown here with a range of movement (positive ease) of about 35 cm, i.e. the sweater is shown on a model that has a 35 cm smaller breast circumference than the sweater. the olive-green Harriet Sweater shows it with a range of movement of about 25 cm.
The length is measured centrally on the rear side excluding the neck lining. You calculate your personal breast circumference by measuring yourself around the breast (or around the widest part of your torso). Then look at the measurements in the manual (the measurements refer to the finished sweater).
The positive ease is the difference between your personal breast circumference and the breast circumference of the finished sweater. For example, if your breast circumference is 94 cm, you get at Gr. S/M has a range of movement of 36 cm (130 cm – 94 cm = 36 cm).

Recommended needles
Circular knitting needle 3 and 4 mm (40 and 80 cm). Evtl. Circular knitting needle 4,5 mm (40 and 80 cm) for the sample
Rundstricknadel 3,5 mm (40 cm).
Gauge
21 stitches x about 26 rows smooth right (single color) = 10 x 10 cm on needle 4 mm.
21 stitches x approximately 25 rows in the sample = 10 x 10 cm on needle 4-4,5 mm.
Note: The entire sweater is worked 2 threads, i.e. 1 thread/quality.
Wash the gauge before you measure it. Make sure that the gauge is the same width (21 M to 10 cm), regardless of whether you are knitting in a single color or in a pattern. Knit the pattern on half a needle size smaller if it contracts more than the monochrome part. Especially in the combination of Tweed and Silk Mohair.
