Caia Cardigan has an interesting construction with a European shoulder, which at the same time guarantees a great cut. The small structural pattern is easy to knit and gives the cardigan a jacket-like character.
The icing on top is the vertical aperture in the rib pattern along the leading edges and the V-neck, which is made parallel to the cardigantic jacket.

The cardigan is worked from top to bottom. First, the upper part of the back is made, then the upper parts of the front are made of picked up stitches on the shoulder bevels. Subsequently, stitches are picked up for the sleeve tops, whereupon sleeves, front and back are knitted simultaneously to below the arm cutouts. Then the front and back are completed. The vertical diaphragm is then worked in the rib pattern along the leading edges and on the V-section. The panel is attached to the leading edges during knitting. Finally, the sleeves are completed.

The Caia Cardigan is designed with a range of movement (positive ease) of about 15-20 cm. The jacket shown is knitted with a range of movement of about 22 cm.
You calculate your personal breast circumference by measuring yourself around the breast (or around the widest part of your torso). Then look at the measurements in the guide (the measurements refer to the finished cardigan). The positive ease is the difference between your personal breast circumference and the breast circumference of the cardigan. For example, if your breast circumference is 94 cm, you get at Gr. M has a range of motion of 18 cm (112 cm – 94 cm = 18 cm).
