The basis for BABY COTTON NATURALLY COLORED are, as the name suggests, cotton fibers, which grow in color and are not colored.
Naturally coloured cotton is grown in three different shades – green, ivory and brown – from seeds of varieties that had been forgotten for decades due to the intensive production and demand for ecru cotton. The resulting high-quality yarn can save up to 90% water compared to conventional cotton.
Because the color is grown and not colored, it is exposed to fewer chemicals that could irritate the skin, which makes this yarn especially good for babies and people with sensitive skin, but of course not only.
Lang Yarns has created a small color palette, all of which are created by twisting the three basic colors green, ivory and brown.

Use detergents.

Hintergründe:
Inspired by ethical and sustainable projects, Santi Mallorquí’Gou, CEO of OCC (Organic Cotton Colours), began growing naturally coloured cotton fibres in 1992 in Northeast Brazil. Since then, the project has grown to more than 400 agricultural families.
All project members and their families will be offered economic stability. In addition, 10% of the value of cotton is reinvested in the improvement of production systems within the Community.
With a focus on regenerative farming practices, this cotton grows together with up to five foods that create a natural source of nutrients for the soil. The process is free of pesticides and machinery, does not use GMO seeds and relies solely on rainwater for irrigation.
Hinweis:
The colours of this yarn may fade due to its natural nature under direct sunlight. To ensure color stability, avoid exposing the balls or finished projects to direct sunlight when not in use.
