Description
Description
fOTOS, design and knitting instructions © Hanne Rimmen
The Aase Sweater impresses with a graphic pattern that creates a clear and modern Nordic look with its repetitions.
This pattern is inspired by the beautiful pattern “Skæl” by knitting designer Åse Lund Jensen, which was originally used for a bag design. In the 50s and 60s, Åse created an iconic style of pattern combinations and rhythmic decreases and increases in knitting patterns. Details that reappear with great respect for the original in this design in a new era.
Designed for the Isager Archives collection 2024.

200 (200) 250 (300) g Tvinni in (am Foto der Rote Fb. 28s)

150 (200) 200 (250) g Tvinni in (am Foto der Rote Pulli Fb. 6s)
Detailfarbe: Hanne Rimmen has made the trim with a contrast color on the neckline, which looks really great. We put it in the knitting kit, but you would have enough wool with the main colors to knit it.
Yarn alternatives:
If you want to choose other yarns, make sure that they are not too smooth (e.g. pure cotton) because they do not get caught in this multi-colored pattern and it looks irregular.
Isager Highland Wool with Isager Alpaca 1
Isager Alpaca 2 double-threaded with Isager Alpaca 1
Rowan Felted Tweed

Exciting background information about the Isager Archive collection, by Helga Isager:
