Fine, soft merino wool. Coloured in Italian for further wool. A family business in the third generation, which spins and refines wool in Austria.
The Merino 160 has been produced for years, so it has been tested and developed many times. You can use them for all knitting projects such as baby clothes or blankets, as well as clothes for adults. Likewise, costume anchors and vests, for those who are more sensitive and do not tolerate normal sheep wool.
We recommend wool detergent.

Wool production in the mountains of Lungaus
In the middle of the magnificent mountains of Lungau, our family business is located. The wool production also was founded in 1906 by my great-grandfather Josef Weiter. When my grandpa Matthias Weiter returned from the Russian prisoner of war in 1947, he continued the carding, which only produced fleece. In 1954, the carding was expanded by a spinning mill. Until the takeover of the company in 1976 by my dad Matthias Weiter senior, only the wool from the local farms was processed. In 1977, my dad enlarged the operation and focused on selling hand and machining knitting yarns.
