Summer Soft

What inspired Anne Ventzel to this light fluffy summer sweater, or from her own everyday life:

„Meine Schwester und meine Schwägerin haben mich schon mehrmals gefragt, ob ich eine Strickanleitung entwerfen könnte, die sich gut eignet, wenn man leicht ins Schwitzen kommt. Und ich muss zugeben … das kann ich jetzt wirklich nachvollziehen.

After my chemotherapy (which, fortunately, is now two years ago), I was suddenly catapulted into menopause and quickly got to know a body that feels ... warm. Oft. Therefore, the need for lightweight, breathable knitwear is not just an idea – it has become a necessity.

Genau aus diesem Grund habe ich „Summer Soft“ entworfen.“

SUMMER SOFT is knitted smoothly on the right and impresses with a simple silhouette and a slightly forward offset shoulder line.

The sweater is worked from top to bottom and does not have to be sewn together. First, the collar on the neckline is knitted in rounds, followed by shortened rows to shape the neckline before the pass is knitted again in rounds until the shoulder width is reached.

The work is divided into front and back, which are knitted separately on the upper part of the pass. Thereafter, stitches are picked up on the arm cutouts, whereupon the work is reconnected and made in rounds down to the arm cutouts. Here the pass is then divided into body and sleeve.

The body is worked in rounds and finished with a slightly curved edge, as well as a ribbed tuft. The sleeves are also made in rounds and are finished with ribbed tufts.

Since the sweater is knitted from top to bottom, the length can be adjusted at any time during knitting so that it gets your perfect length.

It is knitted from a combination of Bomulin (65% cotton / 35% linen) and Soft Fine (63% alpaca / 26% silk / 11% yak) by Isager, creating a beautifully light and airy fabric that feels soft and breathable.

Summer Soft is knitted from top to bottom with 4-mm needles and has a loose fit as well as a gently curved hem.
