Anne Ventzel:
LITTLE KARLA is a cardigantic jacket for children, which is made in the weaving pattern. This technique means that the jacket looks like a Fair Isle knitted jacket, but is knitted with only one color in succession, reducing the difficulty level.

The cardigan is worked from top to bottom and does not have to be sewn together at the end. First is the back fit, then shortened rows on the shoulders to create a nice cut. Subsequently, the front sides are knitted in the same manner. Beneath the arm cutouts, the front and rear are connected and knitted in rows over all the fuselage stitches. Thereafter, stitches are picked up at the neck cutout and for the bezels, which are worked in rows. Finally, stitches for the sleeves are included, on the top of which shortened rows are also made in order to optimize the fit. All frets are made in a crossed rib pattern and chained using the Italian method.
