Wearing the wide COMMA COCOON is like cuddling into a blanket, only with more and controllable freedom of movement. The cardigan is worked from top to bottom in an elegant braid and hole pattern. First is the neck cutout in the neck and the back fit. New stitches for the front sides are then picked up along the shoulders. Under the arm cutouts, the front and back are collected on a needle and the fuselage is made in rows up to the lower edge. Subsequently, stitches are picked up around the arm cutouts for the sleeves, which are knitted in rounds.

The COMMA COCOON depicted is 84 cm long. I am 1.69 m tall and relatively narrow on the shoulders. When I knitted the cardigan for my 1.76 m tall friend, who is a little wider on the shoulders, I worked the jacket at least 10 cm longer. In contrast, I would knit them to my 1.56 m tall sister at least 5- 10 cm shorter.

Material
We have chosen the perfect alternative from our treasures. The Alpaka III of Isager. It is super soft and cuddly. It allows for a clear stitch pattern, so that this beautiful pattern remains clearly visible.

15 skeins of Alpaca 3 by Isager, 50% alpaca 50% wool spun and dyed in Peru, running length: about 125 m / 50 g

Recommended needles
Circular knitting needle 5,5 mm (40 and 140 cm) and 4,5 mm (60, 80 and 140 cm)

NOTE: With the yarn consumption mentioned above, there is enough yarn left to knit the sleeves 5 cm longer than described in the instructions.
Approximately 90 g more yarn is needed if the body is knitted 10 cm longer.
Approximately 30 g more yarn is needed if the sleeves are knitted 5 cm longer.
