The inspiration can be found in Åse Lund Jensen’s knitting pattern “PJUSK Battlejacket”, which she made in 1974. I’ve always been fascinated by this jacket, the loop knitting and the beautiful hand drawings that Åse made of it.
I reinterpreted the jacket in a lightweight version of a bomber jacket, with the loops knitted from Isager Bouclé, which I think is made for this jacket. The fine little loops in the yarn give the loops the finishing touch, almost like a fur.
The collar, collar and collar of the jacket are knitted with lifting stitches, with Trio 2 and Alpaka 1 knitted together, which in my opinion gives a nice contrast to the furry loops.
I really enjoyed putting my own stamp on one of Åse’s recipes.

Sizes and dimensions
XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL)
Knitted breast circumference: 95 (99) 106 (115) 123 (131) cm
Total length: 49 (51) 53 (55) 56 (58) cm

MATERIAL All yarns from Isager Denmark
300 (300) 350 (350) 400 (400) grams (ISAGER BOUCLÉ is a 100 % Alpaca wool 50 grams ball with about 175 meters)
50 (50) 100 (100)150 (150) Gramm (TRIO 2 – 50 % Leinen, 30 % Baumwolle und 20 % Lyocell, 50 Gramm mit ca. 175 Meter)
50 (50) 50 (50) 100 (100) Gramm (ALPACA 1 – 100% Alpaka, Lauflänge 400 m/50 g)

In addition, you need the following knitting needles:
Circular knitting needle size 3 in length 80 cm
double-pointed needles strength 2.5 + 3 (can be replaced by a circular knitting needle if you use the Magic Loop method)

Exciting background information about the Isager Archive collection, by Helga Isager:

All designers and their models, in the order in which the knitting instructions appear:
Anne Ventzel — Karla Cape
Lene Holme Samsoe – Inge Sweater
Myfavoritethingsknitwear – Norma Sweater
Petiteknit – Esther Cardigan
Aegyoknit – Gerda Sweater
Otherloops – Johanne Loop Sweater
Hannerimmen – Aase Sweater
Odd_row – Tove Shirt + Skirt
Helga Jona – Rita Jacke
Knitthing
Camilla Vad
Helga Isager – Kirsten Shirt

The manual is also available in German.
