Since merino wool absorbs moisture well, it is important to briefly fling hand-knitted parts before allowing them to dry flat, preferably on a towel. Never wash hand knitted parts in a laundry net\/wash bag. This produces friction, which can lead to the part matting.<\/p>\n Merino wool comes from Uruguay and Australia. Sandnes Garn emphasizes that they expressly reject practices such as mulesing (as we do at Wolle + Staune). The wool suppliers from Australia confirm that they supply mulesing-free wool. But Sandne\u2019s yarn goes one step further and calls for the introduction of third-party certification requirements for mulesing-free wool.
