\nModal is a synthetic fibre made from organic pulp. This is obtained from shredded wood. For the production of Modal only pulp from beech wood is used. Compared to viscose, which is also obtained from pulp, the higher-quality modal is characterized by improved resistance to tearing and scrubbing and is also softer. Modal is excellent for mixing with cotton. Mixed yarns of modal and cotton impress with a silky gloss and are particularly breathable.<\/p>\n
